DX2 PRO to TUNER Software Upgrade

Permanently upgrade your existing DX2 PRO to the complete DX2 TUNER version and unlock the full CAN Bus, OBD and UDS development environment.

The DX2 is fully software-upgradeable at any time. This upgrade activates the complete TUNER toolset on your existing PRO display without replacing the display or purchasing additional hardware.

No computer is required for setup, configuration or data discovery. CAN messages, OBD and UDS requests, calculations, graphs, gauge assignments, analog-input events, alarms, vehicle profiles and interface settings can all be created and edited directly from its touchscreen.

Programmable Analog Input, Events and CAN Messages

DX2 TUNER includes every PRO analog-input function and unlocks programmable events, alarms and customised CAN-message transmission.

• Use potentiometer, Hall-effect or variable-resistance sensors
• Sensor reference voltage supplied directly by the DX2
• Configure and calibrate the analog input directly from its touchscreen
• Assign individual sensor ranges to sequential gearbox positions
• Create custom analog-input thresholds and operating ranges
• Use the analog input as a configurable event trigger
• Activate a visual or RGB LED alarm when a configured condition is reached
• Create a customised CAN message for an analog-input event

No computer is required to create analog events or CAN messages. Sensor calibration, alarm conditions, event logic and customised CAN-message configuration are completed directly from its touchscreen.

Requirements

• An existing DX2 with an active PRO licence
• The serial number of your DX2
• Basic knowledge of vehicle communication is recommended

IMPORTANT:

• This upgrade will NOT activate on a DX2 that only has a CORE licence
• CORE owners must select either the CORE to PRO upgrade or the complete CORE to TUNER upgrade
• The upgrade does NOT guarantee compatibility with every vehicle or available data channel
• Custom CAN messages and vehicle profiles must be correctly configured and tested by the user
• Incorrect CAN or diagnostic messages can interfere with vehicle communication
• Analog-input events and transmitted CAN messages must be correctly tested before use

SimHub Support

SimHub support is included with every DX2 version and does not require this paid upgrade. It is not available in firmware version 1.18 and will be added to all DX2 versions at no additional cost in the next DX2 firmware release.(available late 2026)

How the Upgrade Works

1. Purchase the DX2 PRO to TUNER software upgrade
2. Provide the serial number of your DX2
3. The permanent TUNER licence will be linked to your display
4. Follow the supplied instructions to install and activate the upgrade

After activation, DX2 TUNER remains completely standalone. A computer is not required to monitor data, create messages, configure diagnostic requests, build profiles, calibrate sensors, create analog events or assign values to gauges. All adjustments are completed directly from its touchscreen.

A computer is only optional when installing firmware updates or analysing exported logs.

The DX2 platform is under continuous development, with improvements, new tools, supported profiles and additional functionality introduced through future firmware releases.

This is a digital software upgrade. No physical product will be shipped.

Each upgrade is permanently linked to one registered DX2 and cannot be transferred to another display.

CAN Bus transmission and message-alteration tools are intended for controlled development, testing and motorsport applications.
